Sure, they could have easily had Judy Garland wear a special costume, but what would they have done about her skin? Perhaps they did try making up her face and arms to look gray, but decided it didn’t look right. And what about her brown eyes? What about Toto?
I believe the book where I read this story is available at the library. I’m going to go see.
