From ‘who owns what’. Yes, Time owns a lot of media from cable channels to magazines. The problem is this merger takes over one of the major non cable networks. There is already discussion that the other networks will follow.
The problem is that soon 3 or 4 companies will control a huge amount of America’s news, where will opposing interests get a stage?
The consolidation of all news and entertainment in the hands of a few giant corporations is bothersome to lots of people. They have interests in common. Where will diversity come from when it will have no forum People who have problems with them, will not be heard.
.The internet is a target for the corporations too. Corporations are on their way to controlling it too. It is not in their interests to provide opposing views. Why would they?
