Yes, in fact there is a sometimes-disorienting lag between when you write the OP, which is then posted, and when you complete the poll.

It is wise to write out the poll options before starting the OP; this permits a quicker posting of the poll and also helps one avoid stupid mistakes.

(Well, in theory. I still make plenty of stupid mistakes.)

You’re missing a fifth choice – “None of the above”. No poll is complete without that one.

And ‘All of the Above’. Every poll needs that.
