I’ve never heard of this artist. I thought I was fairly knoledgeable about this stuff.
Comic Book Artist, a trade/fan magazine about comics art, has lots of examples of commissions that former comics greats sell. One of the sadder sights is Frank Brunner, maybe the greatest artist ever on Dr. Strange and Howard the Duck, dashing off these embarrassing hard-nipple commissions of Clea and Black Widow–thirty years after he made a public scene about how he’s too cool to work for Marvel Comics. How the mighty have fallen. That’s why they call it “dope.”
He has a nice website (other than the fact that’s it’s coded to go max full screen - I had to kill the page via alt-crl-del to leave). He gets approx $ 1000- $2000 each for inked drawings as commissions!
