My apologies on screwing up the format. :smack:
Ok, then - I won’t page Brujaja…
I’m definitely sitting out this round. The only comics I ever read were Little Lulu and Richie Rich!

Well it was a big deal starting in the 1960’s but these days I think it matters more for separate shared universes.
I’d say either (1) lump all the no qualifiers “X-Men” answers into their own category, or (2) count them with the “Uncanny X-Men” answers, since that’s what that title is now called. The first one strikes me as more fair, but dealer’s choice.
Uncanny X-Men and X-men were different comics for a very long time though.
It’s a confusing issue. The series began with the title The X-Men back in 1963 and ran with that title until the late seventies. Then they began putting Uncanny on the cover as part of a new look around 1978 but the title was not officially changed to The Uncanny X-Men until 1981. The Uncanny X-Men is still being released.
Then in 1991, they started a new series called X-Men which featured some of the original characters from old series. X-Men was later retitled New X-Men in 2001, then back to X-Men in 2004; then X-Men: Legacy in 2008.
Then in 1995 and again in 1999, they released two limited run series with the title Astonishing X-Men. They were popular and in 2004, Astonishing X-Men became an ongoing series. Although it’s been announced that the name is going to change to Astonishing X-Men: Second Stage.
But for the point of this game, I’d say they are three different titles. You can go to a comic book store and you’ll see all three of them being separately sold and telling ongoing stories at the same time.
Good points. Scratch my number 2.

I would go with option 1. Marvel loves their adjectives.
- Flash
- Invisible Woman
- Doom Patrol
- X-Men
- Scarecrow
- Red Skull
- Green Lantern
- Ultra-Humanite
- Justice Society of America
- Iron Man
For the record - these were the answers I was thinking of when I wrote the questions:
- Green Arrow
- Dr. Strange
- Doom Partol
- The Defenders
- China White
- Doctor Doom
- Hourman
- Ultra-Humanite
- Action Comics
- The Amazing Spider-man
Obviously, since I’ve been reading the thread, they don’t count.
I would like to point out that while the various comics have a variety of adjectives, the name of the team itself is the X-Men. Question number 4 asks for a team name, not a series name. So X-Men would be the correct answer to that question. For question 10, one of the adjectives would have to be in there.
Dang! Don’t know nothin’ about comics. The main ones I used to read were “Tales From The Crypt” and “Little Lulu.”
The dichotomy remains to this day. Suzie Homemaker with skeletons all over the place.
