Comics: Is it just me, or...

…are comic book lettering fonts getting too damn tiny? I never needed reading glasses before this winter (I’m 44, about the right age for eyesight to take a dive), but I can’t read New Avengers without 'em. Granted, it’s hard to fit that verbose Bendis dialogue on a page in anything larger than 4 pt. type, but this is getting ridiculous!

Anybody else having a problem with this?

Nope, can’t say I have that problem.

I am getting tired of the colour-coded captions and speech balloons in ill-chosen colours (I have a real hard time with Green Arrow’s captions in JLA).

I haven’t noticed any change in font size lately. Maybe you need to visit your local opthomologist?

Hmm. Do you find yourself starting to refer to Spider-Man as a menace? Or at the very least, an impudent whippersnapper?

Do you find yourself starting to think of Aunt May as fiesty, vivacious, and/or spry?

Do you wish there were more Matlock comics?

Yeah I have a problem with this! I have a problem with the fact that you’re 44. Aren’t you a little old for comic books?

Oh, but the headline has appeared in every major newspaper in America:

“BANG! POW! Copmics Aren’t Just for Kids Anymmore!”
