Commercials Currently Annoying You

I despise the Direct TV commercials with the “settlers.”

Really? You don’t think offering fresh milk for the road or bathtub guy’s “pri-vacy” is funny?

O.K., O.K., I admit I’m a sucker for puns. Settling for cable -snerk.

They can “settle” for cable and still get DirecTV by signing up for AT&T U-verse, an Internet Protocol cable service.

Who needs that when I have my foot-stomping?

Whenever I hear this commercial, I hit the mute button. She might have a brain, but she cannot sing. And rewriting a Wizard of Oz classic is an outrage.

I keep thinking that the diploma from the U. of Phoenix is probably worth about as much as the one the Scarecrow got from the Wizard’s bag.

“It sucks” is vulgar?

Do you know this from experience?

Other people. You are not everybody.

Not in *your * coterie, maybe.

Have you not seen the commercial in auestion? Also, not enjoying your urine flavored cereal this morning?

Note to Snickers: Live people is funny. Dead people (i.e. Marilyn Monroe) is creepy.

Other people don’t use your foot-stomping. And save me the cute recipe ideas. I don’t care what you have for breakfast.

Willem Defoe is the most startling Monroe imaginable. But this commercial was worth it just to get a look at his gams. Them thighs are pretty tight-muscled for an old guy. The commercial is unsettling bt that’s what I like about it.

Especially with the bad voice-over that doesn’t really sound like her.

No. I thought it when I saw the commercial, which is why it’s a bad commercial. That was my point.

It makes ‘water wetter’

‘From a pure and simple people’, it ‘works this good’.

I kept waiting for them to tell me that you only need to use a little bit, because the more you dilute it, the better it works.

Heard one for Vehicles For Change that had the tag “no annoying jingle”

dougie_monty: Quit making rude comments at the posters in this thread. You are not the thread police passing judgement on their opinions.

:Sigh: I call them as I see them. Some things just seem to elicit comments.
