I dunno how to really describe this, but when I was defragmenting my computer, there were several lines of cubes that turned white with a red dot on the top right hand side of each cube and I was just wondering what’s that about…normally, from what I remember, it goes from green cubes to blue, after it was defragmented. I’ve been having problems with my computer like sometimes, during start-up, my computer won’t notice my system and hard disk. If this sounds confusing, no need to reply, but I would really appreciate your help. It’s really hard to expain these types o things you know… thanx
Run Defrag again. Bring up the details of the operation. in the lower right-hand corner there is a button entitled “Legend”. Click on it. There you will find the symbols and what they represent. The white box with a red upper corner represents a cluster that will not be moved during the defragmentation process. These are system files that are currently in use at the time the process was intitiated. It is normal and nothing to worry about.
I do not have enough information ot diagnose your startup problem.
