Compaq Ipaq PA-@ MP3 Player and Win XP

You guys are the best, so I’ll try here. I got a new computer, and I want to transfer mp3s to my compaq ipaq pa-2. I got Musicmatch Jukebox Plus 7.5, which has a new personal device manager. It can easily transfer songs to your player, but first you must download the plugin to your player.

Well, the Compaq Ipaq PA-2 isn’t on there. Does it even work with WinXP? Thanks.

I don’t have that particular model of iPAQ, but if it’s anything like mine you need to use ActiveSync (should have come with your handheld) software to transfer the MP3 files onto the device. Once there you can play them with the version of MS Media Player that’s installed there.

MusicMatch Jukebox seems to be designed to manage files for dedicated MP3 players, which an iPAQ is not.

Update:

ths unit is supported by XP. The problem is whether it is supported by Musicmatch 7.5.

According to this, it is: http://www.musicmatch.com/info/company/press/docs/reviewersguide_030107.pdf

But everything else, and the fact that there is no plugin, says no.

Thanks Armilla, but the Compaq Ipaq PA-1 and PA-2 ARE dedicated MP3 players. There is no need for Activesync.
