Another old, non-linear RPG that is pretty cool is Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. It’s a Troika game so surprise, surprise: it’s a little buggy.

yea but Troika was a great company. For those that don’t know, it was founded by three of the guys from the old Interplay. At interplay they were some of the main dudes behind such greats as Fallout

I know people who use joysticks but the best control scheme is mouse and keyboard.
