I have a Lexmark Printer. Having recently installed a new cartridge, it appears, that while the printer is ‘working’ - the paper is feeding through- no ink is appearing on the paper.
The help features don’t. Advice/ ideas anyone?

Assuming it’s not a laser printer, make sure there is no tape or plastic covering the opening on the cartridge itself. Shake the cartrdige GENTLY just in case some of the ink dried up right at the opening, you might be able to knock it loose. Also check drivers and make sure you use the one that matches the printer’s model number. Windows once in a blue moon will stick the wrong driver with the wrong device.
Can you print a test page? Your post doesn’t say if this is a B&W or color printer-the color printers I’ve used require an alignment utility after any cartridge is replaced. Also, did the problem begin immediately after changing the cartridge or a few days later? If the latter, you might want to remove and reinstall the printer driver.
Suggest verification of the obvious items. Good luck.
Thanks for replies. Dancewithcats, I found the problem arose a few days later after changing the cartridge. I did try all of the above, including test pages, aligning and re-installing, etc.
Its both b/w and a colour printer, but I only use b/w.
Since I’ve had the wretched thing since 1996, perhaps it’s just feeling its age…?
