This is a rather purile question, but I don’t know the answer. (I think it may have to do with server preferences, etc.) Anyway:
I’m studying for an exam, and my professor has lecture notes in a web directory. Whenever I typed the address in the past, I received a listing of all the files in the directory (html, jpeg, etc.) Now it says, “This page is blank.” (I think that it is loading a default index.html)
Anyone know how I can view the directory? The address is http://www.unc.edu/~ncaldwel
Thanks a lot.
Chances are, he moved the file. Likely because someone else had the same idea you did, slacker.
That being said, you might be able to search the directory for a particularly unique word or phrase that he used in his previous notes, which you have undoubtedly saved as a study aid. That might point you to a new file. Or an expulsion.
No, actually, we are supposed to use the web site for reviewing detailed explanations of test answers, graphics, etc.
I figured out what I was doing wrong. The address is actually http://www.physics.unc.edu/~ncaldwel.
So I guess this thread is dead.
Long live the thread.
And I’m sorry for accusing you of cheating. Obviously I was projecting my own school career upon you.
