Wait. I thought conservatives weren’t supposed to have a sense of humor, and yet you appear to be employing one.
That’s a dirty trick to pull.

It wasn’t that funny. I say we let him off with a warning.

These folks at DailyKos certainly are…
Isn’t this just a case of Adam Smith’s “invisible hand” pulling the plug on their site? If they can’t afford to keep it going without begging for handouts like some entitlement-addicted liberal, and those aren’t even coming, sounds like the free market has spoken…

Well, that’s what they tell you…
See, back when Al Gore invented the Internet, he fixed it so that Conservatives would not be able to use it as effectively as liberals.
Ha ha, take that, conservatives!

Oh, man, that is just too fucking funny. As Giraffe says, anyone who complains about not getting support for FREE SOFTWARE …
Anyway, thanks for the find, Steve MB, I enjoyed the laugh.

Put some pants on, you!
It’s an outrage! However, I have to point out that the conservatives have also done what they can do prevent me from expressing my right to freedom of expression by failing to provide me with a publisher willing to put my rants in every bookstore and a personal staff of people who will post my thoughts to every message board in all the land.
Of course, that could all be solved if they would just step up with some funds, here.

Um… why would you design a webpage using developer tools that your webmaster didn’t know how to use?

Scoop isn’t a developer tool, it’s a blog-centric content management system. Clearly the problem is not that their developers do not know how to use it, but that they have no developers at all.

got exactly what they paid for.
Maybe they should try putting a little money where their mouth is.

Well, here’s the odd part. They couldn’t make Scoop work for them, or Drupal, or Django (which are supposed to be more or less no-developer-needed systems) because, you know, all the developers are so liberal and all. So their solution is to raise money to hire developers to BUILD THEIR OWN content management system. The cost is unspecified but they say they need $25k more than what they currently have.
This is just baffling. For probably $2500 they could have rented some quality talent to make the needed customizations to Scoop or Drupal or whatever. But instead they conclude that all the talent is too liberal, so they’ll just build their own from scratch for 10 times as much? There’s a brilliant example of fiscal conservatism for you.

Administrative overhead, doncha know.
