Concert recording available at the concert itself

I went to a Barenaked Ladies concert last night, and they had an interesting item for sale that I hadn’t seen before. For $25, you get a USB key with an mp3 of the entire concert. I thought it was a cool idea, so I got one, and they had them ready 15 minutes after the show ended. This was the first I’d heard of something like this; are other bands doing this as well?

Also, one downside is that the key just has one giant mp3 file of the whole concert. Anyone know of a (Windows) program I could use to cut it into tracks?

Hey, what a cool idea. I hope other bands choose to offer that.

I haven’t tried splitting files yet, but you may be able to do that using WinAmp Pro.

Audacity to the rescue! (Again).

Pearl Jam did something similar on their last tour but the shows were available all “edited” (cut up) after the show not at the venue.

Looks good, thanks.
