Made a point to see John Lee Hooker before it was too late.
I saw him live. On his way to the next gig, his tour bus hit my girlfriend’s neighbor’s dog and killed it.

One of my favorite concerts was when Jerry Jeff Walker came to Toronto in the mid-70s. Played Mr. Bojangles (of course) but it was his Desperados Waiting for the Train that brought the house down.
Love him! Would have liked to have seen that show. I like the songs you mentioned and “Sangria Wine.”
According to “Co-Pilot” (I guess the Microsoft AI), here are the bands listed only once on the page so far.
Sure! Here are the bands or artists mentioned only once on the page you’re viewing:

- Built To Spill
- Humble Pie
- Tuck & Patti

- Chet Atkins
- Benny Golson
- Rotary Connection
- Ed Sanders and Allen Ginsberg
- The Marvellettes
- Jon Hendricks
- Diana Krall

- John Lee Hooker
- Jerry Jeff Walker
I’ve seen Leo Kottke. Also Greg Brown, Dave Mallett, Marc Cohn, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Pure Prairie League, and Gordon Bok (not together). All in Seattle.
I’ve seen Humble Pie. Late 80s or early 90s. It was $10 admission. La Semana Alegre in San Antonio, Tx during Fiesta. Frampton had returned to the band. They kicked ass.
I saw Uriah Heep in a small venue in Germany. The late 80s version.
I’ve seen many comics but I’ll only mention those I saw in what is usually a music venue. The venue is now known as the PNC Bank Arts Center. In separate shows I saw Steven Wright, Rodney Dangerfield and Bill Cosby. Cosby was probably the hardest I’ve laughed in my life.
I saw Sam Kinison at a music venue. Sneakers rock club in San Antonio. He was hilarious
Herb Alpert and Humble Pie were mentioned more than once. Meanwhile, I mentioned IQ and UK, and no one else has.
So what do you have to say for yourself, “Co-Pilot?”
I saw UFO in Tucson in the 70s. A small theater, I think it was on the UofA campus. I got to stand against the stage when the band told the ushers to let us stand in the open space in front. I could have touched them. Some of the girls did.
I almost forgot, I saw Canned Heat, and smoked hash with them afterward, around about 1973 or 1974. Some high school in the NW suburbs of Chicago; can’t remember which due to said hash. Wheeling? Arlington Heights? No idea.
I literally laughed out loud for that one.
I mentioned Captain Beefheart, and no one else did. I guess the AI didn’t know it was a band.
I never saw Benny Goodman, but my mother did at a UN Day celebration - and sat at his table for the dinner. She loved Benny and my father was an organizer of the event.
Saw them too at a smallish venue in Germany, a little later, in the early 90s.
Pretty sure I’m the only one who has mentioned Gong (so far).
I did mention Allen Ginsberg (with Philip Glass rather than Ed Sanders).
I am shocked, shocked I tell you, that AI is getting things wrong.
Yeah, and I’m the only one to have mentioned several international musicians.
I saw Canadian folk singer Stan Rogers at The Main Point in 1979.
His set was wonderful and that venue? Impossible to emulate these days. A much-beloved stage from back in the day.
I’ve seen Bob five times:
