configuring WINS and DNS servers?

I am running on both NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 the IpassConnect program
which locates ISPs in various countries and runs dialup directly. I want to
have SecuRemote, a VPN client run after the Ipass connects. The problem is
that for the VPN to run, it needs to have the WINS server defined (in NT4)
and both the WINS and DNS servers defined (in W2K). IPass doesn’t appear
in Network and Dialup Connections, so there is no way to set the TCP/IP
properties in advance. But Ipass does allow a program to be run immediately
following connection.

So does anyone know of either a command line (that can be made into a batch
file) or an external program that can set the DNS and WINS servers?

Have you tried NetOp instead of SecuRemote?

I once looked into using Ipass aand I was under the impression you could just configure a DUN manually for the local connection. Then you can configure it any way you want.

What about setting those in the Network Control panel?

In the end, I figured out the problem with Ipass, and was able to configure it in its TCP/IP properties. But I am still curious if it is possible to assign DNS and WINS servers at the command prompt.
