Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene MUST GO

It’s the great Republican tradition of recommending one ‘lie back and enjoy it’.

AIUI, a colony cannot be established if it was conceived by use of force.

Probably a feature. “Har, har. Them pointy-headed intellekshuls still care about the difference between they’re and there, you’re and your. I’ll give her money so she’ll continue to brake they’re black hearts.”

I think you’re giving them too much credit here. Probably more like “I lak to warsh mah self wit a rag on a stick.” Followed by more meth. This is the Republican base these days.

My favorite?

duh, it’s Master and Commander

I was discussing MTG with a coworker and he said she probably did it on purpose just to get attention. I argued that no, she really is that dumb, and most people just can’t ignore her, so she gets her lust for attention anyway.

Looks like she’s pissed Anonymous off too. I hope they find lots and lots of good dirt and share widely!

“Russian asset Marjorie Taylor Greene will go down in history as one of the dumbest politicians ever,” Anonymous tweeted yesterday. “History will not be kind to you, nor will we.”

As a life long republican, voted for Reagan, I find this woman reprehensible and I am flabbergasted the people of GA put her in this position. I was not following the races there when she was elected so I have to wonder who was her competition? Someone so awful that this nutjob was the better selection? No matter. She is a horrible person and hopefully the dolts in Georgia wake up come the next election.

Her competition was a Democratic man who seemed to be pretty decent, but he withdrew after his wife served him with divorce papers mandating he move out and he had to move to Indiana.

To be fair, in her district any Dem candidate would be a sacrificial lamb.

That’s why you need to look at the primary*. She received a plurality of the primary vote with just over 40% of the vote. This resulted in a runoff with John Cowan (a neurosurgeon, BS physics from Davidson College, MD from Johns Hopkins) where Greene (BS Business Administration from UGA), with Trump’s endorsement, got 57% of the vote.

*IMO the political mess we find ourselves is a direct result of our two-party system. There just has to be a better way to select our leaders. Greene received 43,892 votes in the primary and 43,813 votes in the runoff, in a district that had over 300,000 people vote in the General. The two-party system resulted in having 14% of the voters choose who represents them in Washington, which is why there is someone who believes in Jewish Space Lasers instead of a brain surgeon helping us make the laws. Of course, both sides of the two-party system have a vested interest in perpetuating it, so don’t expect this to change anytime soon.

Because Republican brain surgeons are so much better.

So much better than what? Better than Jewish Space Lasers? I think that was my point.

At least Jewish Space Lasers give us something to laugh about. Carson was a joke, but he wasn’t funny. As long as Empty Greene represents the QOP, Independents will be voting Democratic.

Nitpick:

I think business administration is arguably more relevant than neurosurgery to running the government.

Though I’m afraid that currently “kindergarten teacher” might be more relevant yet.

– the problem isn’t what Greene’s degree is or isn’t. The problem is that she’s an obnoxious fool.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has a college degree?? And it is a Bachelor of SCIENCE degree??
I am going to have to start buying boxes of Cracker Jacks on the campus of the University of Georgia!

For the primary election in Arizona voters registered independent can request any of the recognized parties’ ballots. That’s why I changed from Libertarian to independent in 2019. Unfortunately for the 2020 election, looking over the candidate lists there weren’t any Republicans I was willing to even hold my nose and vote for – they were all trying to out-Trump each other.

Are you still a Republican?

I am. But more middle of the road than anything. I’d never vote for the likes of Trump again but I would never vote for Biden either. IMHO we are pretty screwed here in the US when it comes to our choices of many of our politicians.

Trump is the head of the party; MT Green, Lauren Boebert, Madison Cawthorn, and all those who tried to overthrow the democracy (and those who supported, covered for, aided, and abetted them) are the Republican party. It’s not like they’re your family. I have no idea why someone who loves this country and this democracy would still call themselves a Republican.

But, that’s a topic for another thread, I guess.
