Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene MUST GO

So, what do you think? And what’s next?

USA Today article on it:

“Never mean anything for violence.” Right. I’m sure that saying Pelosi is a traitor and treason is punishable by death is perfectly legitimate political discourse. As is liking a Facebook post that says a bullet in the head would be a quicker way to remove her than impeachment.

I always enjoy it when these lying con artists get questioned under oath. It doesn’t happen nearly often enough. And it’s especially fun when they’re dumbasses like MT Greene. Even more fun when their lies and apparently failing memories are set straight by their actual social media posts and video clips.

I hope the challengers win this battle, but if they don’t, it’s only because they have a substantial burden of proof of insurrection that goes quite a bit beyond what they’ve already shown, that Greene is a lying dumbass.

C’mon now, she had her good Christian cross worn on the outside for everyone to see. I thought Republicans thought that virtue signalling was for cucks or some other such Republican bullshit.

I didn’t see the cross, because I cannot abide looking at her repulsively ugly mug for more than a fraction of a second. I feel that if I did, something horrible might happen, like I might turn into a frog or something.

I loved how the plaintiff’s attorney mocked her in his summation for when he jogged her memory about the Pelosi bullet thing. He asked her about it, and she “didn’t remember” until he started to present evidence.

There were a number of instances of that. For example, from CNN’s coverage:

And she said she didn’t remember saying that she opposed the peaceful transfer of power to Joe Biden – right before lawyers for the challengers played a video of her saying that.

Plus, apparently, none of the incriminating social media posts calling for an insurrection, or agreeing with such calls, were from her. She doesn’t remember them. Must have been one of her many staff, posing as her. Not her fault.

I think there ought to be laws against congressional staff members posting on their boss’s social media account, just to prevent any cases of plausible deniability.

(I don’t think this is plausible, by the way).

In any event, someone wrote and liked those posts, someone with access to her password, someone who was authorized to use that account. If she’d been hacked, she would have vehemently said so.

I was hoping the attorney would ask her: “Do you take ANY responsibility for what gets posted on your account?”

“For some reason all my staff are insurrectionists, but I assure you, I definitely am not!”

“And those insurrectionist things I said on video, I don’t remember saying them.”

Sound good to me! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

If it weren’t for her quick-witted attorney, she might have elaborated on Q-anon. That would have been fun.

So, what’s the next step? They mentioned briefs that need to be filed?

Yup, the parties write up briefs discussing the facts and applying analysis of legal precedent to those facts and submit them by a predetermined date; perhaps then producing reply briefs to address arguments of the other side. The judge takes the briefs, the transcripts of testimony, and the exhibits introduced at trial, mulls it all over, and writes a decision.

As I understand it, the judge makes a recommendation to the secretary of state, who’s a Republican, and he is the one who makes the final determination.

Anybody sanguine about him making the right choice?

Brad Raffensberger? A friend-of-Trump he most certainly is not. Of all the Georgia Republicans that could be sitting in judgement on her, I expect he would be very high on the list of individuals Greene would least like to see with power over her political future. But we will see.

If he does the right thing he’ll be inundated with death threats.

Republicans call Democrats the “woke mob” when they, themselves, are literally a mob.

Since it’s Raffensperger, no change then. The guy’s already gotten a metric buttload of death threats just for not finding more votes for Trump. He should be inured to them by now. Not that I expect him to decide against MTG, so this will probably be moot.

MTG doesn’t seem to be too worried about her fate as she continues to taunt.

I bet you those numbers are definitely found in Florida textbooks.
