And, no, Trump never weaponized the law.
A lightning strike is far more likely to happen.
Also: the clip of Biden’s joke (minus the comment about joking) is popping up all over the right-wing internet as definitive proof that Biden is both corrupt AND senile. Because of course it is.
The verdict is in, and she is OUTTA THERE!

It also has something to do with the bad word she called Boebert on the floor of the House (not on the record, sadly, apparently this was conversation rather than oration). What bad word could it have been? I can’t seem to find anyplace that has written it down. Just that the fellow in the above story said it was especially heinous having been aimed at a female.
Nothing too heinous. She called her a little bitch. I’d have a few far worse and more colorful epithets for both of them…
In other news, it’s reported that face-eating leopards have been getting very sick lately. It’s speculated that the faces that they have been forced to eat lately have not been very palatable.
Her reaction to being ejected from the face-eating leopard circle jerk club:
Greene added: “The GOP has less than two years to show America what a strong, unified Republican-led Congress will do when President Trump wins the White House in 2024. This is my focus, nothing else.”
Calling your fellow face-eating leopards little bitches and being kicked out of the circle jerking club is apparently part of a strong, unified Republican-led Congress in her world.
Like we need more reason. I know this will go nowhere but still…this woman is a menace.
I was wondering what prompted that, since I hadn’t heard of anything big happening in regards to NATO. Then I saw this in the article.
Greene on Tuesday proposed an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act that would direct President Joe Biden to “withdraw the U.S. from NATO.” Biden met with other world leaders at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, on the same day, pledging that the U.S. would maintain its “ironclad commitment” to the alliance.
So it’s literally just whatever Biden does is bad and we need to do the opposite. Not prompted by anything but blind, childish pettiness.
It’s probably also what Putin wants, which would mean it’s what Trump wants so of course it’s what this attention seeking dimwit wants.
Trump wanted out of NATO because he claimed that the US was doing an “UNFAIR” amount of funding.
She’s just thoughtlessly repeating what her personal savior has also said.
Seriously, she’s not very smart.

Whack-a-Mole’s addendum: Then there is Marjorie Taylor Greene
Why whatever in her past would make you suggest such a thing?
A good crank fight, while entertaining, was more than the Freedom Caucusers could stand.
"WASHINGTON—The breakup of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and the most powerful conservative caucus in the House was likely sealed when she called her colleague Rep. Lauren Boebert “a little bitch.”…
“I think I enjoy being a free agent a lot better,” said Greene about her ouster from the caucus. She said that she shared the values of the Freedom Caucus, but was “interested in getting accomplishments done, not doing things just to disrupt and fight leadership. And that’s a major difference.”

Has Greene ever put forward a coherent policy and worked to get it passed?
Not holding my breath waiting for her on this.
(Words are from the ridiculously stupid MTG, not our esteemed Jackmannii)
AKA a complete 180.
Article 13 states:
After the Treaty has been in force for twenty years, any Party may cease to be a Party one year after its notice of denunciation has been given to the Government of the United States of America, which will inform the Governments of the other Parties of the deposit of each notice of denunciation.
But I’m not sure what power the President has to trigger this. The Treaty has to be ratified by the Senate. Does the Senate need to vote for us to get out?
Upon further research. From Wikipedia:
In Goldwater v. Carter, Congress challenged the constitutionality of President Jimmy Carter’s unilateral termination of a defense treaty with Taiwan.[37] The case went before the Supreme Court but was dismissed without hearing an oral argument by a majority of six Justices, on the grounds that “The issue at hand … was essentially a political question and could not be reviewed by the court, as Congress had not issued a formal opposition”; Justice Brennan dissented, arguing that the “issue of decision-making authority must be resolved as a matter of constitutional law, not political discretion” and therefore was subject to judicial review.
Presently, there is no Supreme Court ruling on whether the President has the power to break a treaty without the approval of Congress; it remains unclear which branch of government is empowered by the Constitution to terminate a treaty, much less the procedure for doing so.[38] In practice, a president may terminate a treaty unliterally if permitted by said treaty’s terms.[39] President George W. Bush unilaterally withdrew the United States from the Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty in 2002, six months after giving the required notice of intent,[40] but faced no judicial interference nor legal action.[39]
Effectively all Trump had to do to get us “out” of NATO was to undermine our partners’ confidence in our fidelity. Which he thoroughly fucked.
IMO if a treaty does not define the terms by which a country can withdraw from that treaty then the way out should be the same as the way in…a 2/3 vote from the senate and the president wanting to end it.
Just my $0.02…no one asked me.
Has anyone heard MTG’s list of complaints about Biden, which to a sane ear comes across as a successful Biden campaign ad?
