I think she’s just jealous of Tuberville holding up military promotions with one vote and she wants a little taste of that action. Somehow, increased arrests at the border always mean that border control is failing. “Look at all these people who were caught trying to enter the country illegally!”
But doesn’t the fact that they were caught mean that our border controls are working?

As for what they want Biden impeached for, according to the people that I overhear in the break room at work, it’s for “corruption.” Nothing more specific than that.

In and of itself its hard to say. I think that the most likely scenario is hat the retention rate probably hasn’t changed much, but that more people are attempting to cross. Probably due to a variety of things including Covid ending, a tight loabor market in the US, and a violently anti immigrant president who favors stealing children no longer being in power.
If the retention rate is indeed the same that probably means that more are getting through than before at approximately the same rate of increase as the number of apprehensions. And the Republicans wanted to argue that fixing Covid and the economy while not being a sociopath has increased the pressure at the border and made for more undocumented immigrants, that would probably be supported by the facts.
But that isn’t what they are claiming. What they are claiming is that under Biden there has been a totally open border. That can in no way be supported by these numbers. By rights a Republican Impeachment of Biden because of his immigration policy should consist of one question, one witness and this graph, then after a quick vote acquit they are done by lunch.
