As a mild libertarian rqather than a rightie, on the right wing blog side, I enjoyed Steven den Beste, and still enjoy Bill Whittle and Iam Murray. SDB has stopped political blogging which is a shame, but his archive is well worth reading, even if you disagree with him as it will make you think.
Even though I am a centrist with libertarian leanings, I have to admit that I am a devout Michael Savage listener. My political beliefs are obviously at odds with his (since he makes Rush Limbaugh look like Al Franken), but I do enjoy his bizarrely humorous diatribes against everything from Saddam to sodomy.
I agree with Bill O’Reilly on most issues, but I find him unwatchable because he is an arrogant, hypocritical jerk not only on TV, but also in his personal life, based on the details of his sexual harrassment case.
Speaking of Sean Hannity, he’s a little bit too much of a humorless, jingoistic, Rush clone, Republican waterboy for my taste. I’d rather watch an Alan Colmes (rare lizard-man hybrid) close-up marathon in 1080i than listen to Vanity er, uh Hannity that is.
P.S. I am also a Larry Elder fan
Parker
Well, he was a refreshing change of pace during the Clinton years, because he could critizie Clinton policies without spewing venom at the Clintons themselves. He knew Bill and Hillary at Yale Law School, and still regards both, especially Hillary as delightful people.
I heard him fill in for Rush Limbaugh a few times, and he regularly defended both Bill and Hillary against callers who treated them as if they were Evil incarnate. Whebever someone suggested the Clintons had Vince FOster killed (or made similar insane charges), Medved was quick to scoff at the notion. Indeed, Medved’s take was that Bill Clinton’s greatest flaw was not liberalism, but an unhealthy need to be loved by EVERYONE.
Yes! I consider him more entertainer than commentator, like you. I love it when he talks about dining or books, and I really love it when he rants.
He’s been kicked off most of the stations around here for saying that Liberalism is a mental disease.

Krauthammer, Sowell, and Steyn I make an effort to read regularly.
Coulter frequently goes off the deep end, but she is very entertaining.
I love P.J. O’Rourke, but is he a “commentator” or “pundit”? He doesn’t editorialize in any regular publications, does he?
All these posts, and no mention yet of Victor Davis Hanson?
I would also like to add a shoutout to my fellow Canuck conservative Colby Cosh

Just so you know, simpatico is actually Spanish for ‘nice’ or ‘kind’.
No kidding? How embarrassing – I’ve used it incorrectly for years. I mean years – I picked it up from a high school teacher who used it as I did above – as a shorthand way of saying I found someone to be agreeable – not just agreeable in the sense of being nice, but agreeable in that we are of similar minds. And I graduated in 1978. But I don’t speak Spanish, so I’ll bow to the superior knowlege of someone who is fluent.
Whew, I feel better. I found at least one online definition using ‘simpatico’ as I’ve always done: “Of like mind or temperament; compatible.” I’d really hate to think I’d been using a word incorrectly since 1977!
