Constipation, Memory, and Peripheral Vision.

Hi,

I hope that this post does not fall into the same category as my other post, which was deemed inappropriate as medical issues should be talked about with one’s primary care physician. But if it does, I apologize in advance and will understand if this thread is closed.

OK, on to my post.

In my yesteryears, I was very ignorant about nutrition and how the body works in general. I lead a very inactive life, only drank when thirsty, and consumed the amount of fiber of the average American, which would be below 20 grams (at least, this is what I have read). This lifestyle was a recipe for constipation.

A doctor scanned my stomach and told me that my colon was completely full of waste. It seems that my intestinal muscles were very weak and sluggish. He recommended the usual course, which included a high fiber diet, fruits and vegetables, exercise, and a sufficient amount of water.

At first, I didn’t follow his advice. But now I am. And, as I slowly become “unconstipated”, I have noticed a few things:

  1. My peripheral vision has increased. Before, I could not see my whole hand clearly and wholly. I could see some of it, but the rest was blurry. Now, however, I can see the whole hand and am able to “take in” objects more visually.

  2. Improved Concentration.

  3. I think at a greater speed now.

  4. My memory has improved dramatically. I am sometimes astonished at the rate at which I access my memories.

  5. Better Posture

And some others…

Now, my questions. Is this normal? Have I been living in a constipated fog for the first 21 years of my life? What, exactly, is happening?

Thanks,

Doodles
