Constitution day

On this day in 1787, the delegates to the Constitutional convention signed the Constitution, sometimes refered to as the Original 7 Articles.

The chair George Washington sat in as President of the convention is original and still on display in Declaration Chamber/Assembly hall of Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

IH is on the prestigous World Heritage list of UNESCO.

The Constitution is on display in the National Archives in Washington, D.C. in the center case of the Rotunda of the Charters of Freedom.

The Declaration is to it’s left and the Bill of Rights, all Twelve as proposed, is on it’s right. I have never failed to visit the Archives on my D.C. trips.
