We’re in desperate need of a new gas grill. The old one should have been retired a year ago.
My sister has a membership to Consumer Reports online so I checked out what they had to say about gas grills. I was shocked to see that one of their “recommended buys” was a $200 Brinkmann 4-burner grill from Home Depot, and of course my penny-pinching boyfriend latched onto this deal as if it was the answer to his prayers (he has a history of buying stuff just because it’s cheap and looking the other way when it lives up to its low, low, deep-discount, bargain-basement price)
I’m often suspicious of things that are “too cheap to seem worth it” and the customer ratings of this grill on the CR site aren’t nearly as good as CR claims the grill is.
I haven’t consulted Consumer Reports in years. Are they still as trusted as they were years ago?
Any recommendations for a 4-burner gas grill under $300 that gives a great, hot sear and even heat?
