I stumbled into modern classical music recently and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions.

I’ve actually never heard of any of those artists–admittedly I’m not up on the contemporary stuff past 1980. Might you have any links so that I could have a listen?

In my book (actually in almost anyone’s book), the ones I know of these are not classified as contemporary classical music. It fits better in the new age genre, so you might want to search there. Suggested names: George Winston, David Lanz, David Arkenstone.
Oh and given what I found out about Break of reality: check out Apocalyptica.
