Contradictive and/or plain dumb art forms?

I’ll start: NSBM (“National Socialist Black Metal”) and Rechtsrock (basically neo-nazi rock music) make absolutely no sense to me. NEWSFLASH: Black people invented rock’n’roll, you fucking morons!

Black Jewish Lesbian Republicans. I can’t remember where I first heard of them.

Nouvelle Cuisine

Fortunately, it’s now become more or less the object of ridicule it always deserved to be.

Quit playing with your food.

Tagging. Not meaning graffiti murals, although the whole “defacing other peoples’ property” aspect of that bothers me too, but spraypainting or drawing some signature design and assigning yourself some importance based on how many times or how inaccessibly you placed your tag. Good for you, jackass, you’ve marked your territory, meaning your “art” is of roughly the same quality and importance as cat piss.

In their defense, Black Metal doesn’t sound a whole lot like “traditional Rock’N’Roll” or even music, for that matter.

I’m confused by the logic here. How does the race of the inventors dictate who’s allowed to use the art form? Would you argue that a black author couldn’t write a science fiction novel denouncing anti-black racism because science fiction was invented by white people?

I’ll point out what should be obvious: I think neo-nazis are wrong. But they’re wrong because of their message, not because they chose the wrong medium to deliver it in.

No. Sci-fi writing does not so-to-say require you to be a racist douche, whereas making neo-nazi rock music does.
Saoirse does have a point: Black metal is very far from traditional rock’n’roll. But still: without r’n’r there wouldn’t be metal, and without metal there wouldn’t be the crock of shit known as NSB"M". And Rechtsrock is musically closer to traditional rock’n’roll -which was originally considered “race music” or “n*gger music”. So it is a contradiction. And a damn stupid one.

I consider myself a metalhead, I enjoy some black metal too. Perhaps I should PIT neo-nazi douchebags infiltrating the extreme music scene. They really piss me off.
