Alright, now that’s just plain silly on the police department’s part. This appears to be a legitimate abuse of police power, unlike so many trumped-up allegations and conspiracy theories we’ve seen here, and they’re grasping at straws to try and make it go away.

Police officers should not be raiding illegal pot shops and then consuming the same illegal goods they came there to seize. That just makes them active participants in the same criminal market that it’s their job to shut down.

Here we have a State Trooper racially profiling a college professor who teaches, wait for it… about racism and its impact on American culture. She says he pulled her over based on race, didn’t tell why he stopped her and asked her if she could speak English (a racist question based on her dark skin). She wrote to head of the State Police and some law makers with her complaint. An investigation ensued, she gave a statement and acknowledged that making a false report was a crime. She was promptly arrested after giving the statement as dash cam video showed that the trooper acted professionally and none of her allegations were true. Kudos to the prosecutor who decided she should be charged and not shown the video before she gave her statement (as commonly happens just to make the complaint go away). I hope she gets some jail time.

Now, now. The only reason this is an issue is because Big Brother caught them on camera. I mean, how are these brave officers supposed to do their duty if they have to worry about being documented all the time. Come on, poor officers victimized by fascist pot sellers.
