My horoscope predicts this for me today!
It’s bad luck to believe in those things.
You know, when you said “ex-cop” I braced myself for a 50-something, bald, heavyset guy with a droopy 'stache dropping truth bombs in a wry, good natured way with a twinkle in his jaded eye.
That guy looks younger than I am. And he was a shift commander ? The hell ?!
Or a medical condition, or a reaction to medication, or an interaction between multiple medications.
At least football players never experience head trauma, so it’s pretty much impossible that he accidentally crashed the vehicle and was susceptible to a concussion that caused him to become disoriented and act unusually.
None of his actions were capital crimes. He was killed because of that FEAR! thing the cops have turned into a self perpetuating justification for unthinking, uncaring, improvisational executions.
Marine '97-'01, cop '03-'14 (also college '03-'04 and Bachelor’s degree '07-'10) retired due to shoulder injury, Masters degree '14, presently Ph.D. student. Now a ripe old 35. C.V. is extensive and impressive, from shooting to publishing to community involvement: Dr. Michael Wood - iMemberMedia | LinkedIn . In short, he is credible, and speaks from knowledge and experience.
I wasn’t saying he was not credible, I’m just kind of impressed.
And now the officer in the car-room shooting has been fired: http://www.cnn.com/2015/08/11/us/texas-dealership-shooting/index.html
An interesting comment from the article: "
.
So he entered the building without backup, chased after the suspect while moving farther away from assistance, and then shot him when he 'moved toward him."
I can’t wait to see doorhinges/steophans spin on this…
Officer “was in fear for his life”.
Those magic words are all that is required.
I just read about people being busted in Dubai for 0.03 grams.
0.02 ounces is 0.57 grams. Basically a single smaller bud. In my state, under 42.5 grams (1.5 ounces) is all of a $200 fine, misdemeanor with no jail time. Of course, anything above that is a Felony with a 5 year sentence.
But not where it matters the most! The PD isn’t denying they turned a traffic stop into an excuse to search a woman’s vagina. On the side of the road.
This is a something that should only occur in a far-fetched hypothetical. I can not believe this is real life.
Yup, absolutely inexcusable behavior and they should be charged with sexual assault.
Hey, she could have a gun up there.
Well, yeah, but then, Dubai :).
To be precise, at 0.02 ounces, the story is equivalent to around 10 grains of salt.
Former Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer Randall Kerrick’s trial is underway.
Some info I don’t remember reading in stories immediately after the shooting in there; I love this one:
Yeah, it’s the dashcam that would have alerted the suspect, not the cop car itself.
Hmmm, he’s using the old “replacement theory” for a defence. He replaced the life he took by having a baby a few days later.
