Major math fail. 9 cops yes. 2 used force way in excess of what was necessary. Dog just barked. 7 tried to subdue the suspect peacefully. Yes, cops draw guns on felony stops. Terrible use of excessive force no doubt, but it’s even sadder to call ALL 9 cops thugs for this.
Yep. The public has only itself to blame for this crime spike by actually documenting police behavior with video instead of relying on what is written in police reports or what is said by police spokesmen in the media.
This is what we get when the police are hesitant to shoot or beat the shit out of you with impunity. Or, just maybe, police departments should hire people with more aptitude for doing the job correctly.

Yeah, those other 7 cops were completely blameless. They just held their guns on the guy so the first two could go to town on him with no consequences.
Which, you dribbling moron, was precisely the point i was making: they had plenty of force there to take him into custody peacefully and without violence. If seven cops stand there and watch two cops beat the crap out of an unarmed and surrendering suspect, and do nothing to stop it, they bear a considerable measure of the blame, and they deserve the “thug” epithet.
If the investigation reveals that some of those cops were calling for the attackers to stop, or tried to prevent the violence in some other way, i will reallocate the epithets as is appropriate. But one of my main points, all the way back when i created this thread, was that a key component of police malfeasance is not just the officers who carry it out directly, but the ones who do nothing to stop it when they know it’s going on. If you can’t understand the importance of that issue, you’re too stupid to engage in the debate.
You half-witted blind diaper-load, watch the video. Within 5 seconds of the first blow the event is over. 1 cop can be seen pulling one of the violent cops off. The dog handler kept the dog away. Other cops are standing back, who knows what they are saying. But you keep farting peas at the moon in the hope of hitting something.

As for what the cops were saying, if they were urging caution it was probably something along the lines of, “Stop. There’s a news camera overhead.”

They had nine cops to deal with the guy. Many of those cops had their guns drawn. The guy was beaten, even if not every one of the nine cops actually threw a punch.
What they did was beat the guy, even though they had nine cops to deal with him and did not need to use any excessive force to restrain him. The presence of the other cops with guns is precisely what allowed the first couple of guys to start beating on him with no fear of retaliation.

One of the complaints that forms the leitmotif of this thread is that the constabulary have been observed to conspire in abuse of [del]victims[/del] suspects. When an officer misbehaves, we see the brotherhood close ranks to back that officer up. Often to the extent of cooking the evidence to make it look like the rogue officer was justified in their excesses.
This seems to be a very real problem. Every officer that works to exonerate a bad actor, in the name of the [del]gang[/del] brotherhood in blue, swung that baton in anger or fired that pistol without warrant. The brave policeman stands up against the misdeeds of his co-workers. A rare person, though, most police are cowards.

A few commit criminal acts, as did the two I mentioned herein, and incidentally, both have been suspended pending investigation and possible criminal charges. They screwed up bad, they will pay the price. Another cop caught on video abusing a teenager…this time for the felonious offense of cutting through a mall parking lot on her bike.
Not only does he toss her around like doll before throwing her to the ground, but he tasers her. A teenaged girl that looks like she weighs 95 lbs if that.
That cop should get some work where I do some of my shopping. So many people cut through the parking lot, he’d have an endless supply of skulls to crack.
In the cops defense, maybe she had playing cards attached to her bike’s wheel and he thought she was firing an uzi at him. Cause that’s how he behaved.
