Controversial encounters between law-enforcement and civilians - the omnibus thread

Yep, that’s your attitude to the people you’re bigoted against. You’re pathetic. The only thing that makes your bigotry slightly less dangerous than that of the alt-right types is that it’s mostly likely to get you killed, not someone else.

You are, quite seriously as far as I can tell, defending considering a group of people sub-human. That makes you quite literally no better than the KKK or whoever.

We have already shown the irreparable harm that can be inflicted upon individuals and the community by bad and/or dirty cops. The letter above is a true reflection of the fears that many people have in interacting with police. While the public should have a level of respect for law enforcement, they should not have to fear them in their daily lives.

Until police, their unions, and politicians decide to have no tolerance for misconduct by underperforming cops regardless of the reason, there will be the fear and disrespect by many citizens.

That’s exactly what racists say about black people. They’d love to be able to respect them, and treat them like real people, but they’re just too damn scary.

I’m not afraid of a black person as they don’t have a “legal” permit to assault or kill me unless they are in a police uniform.

Remind me: how many people are born cops?

Keep proving them right, well done everybody!

Well, if that don’t beat all.

The son of a bitch who thinks the cops - good or bad makes no difference - should be totally unaccountable and should have absolute power of life and death - even when they are wrong and/or crooked …

Calls ME the alt right (code ward for fascist or Nazi).

And yet I am the one most likely to get killed - for my VIEWS.

You are fucking pathetic. Get the fuck out. Seriously. get the fuck out.

Yes, if you treat the cops like subhumans you are the one likely to get hurt, unlike with the fascists who are more likely to hurt others. Doesn’t make you any better than them, just slightly less dangerous.

And if you were actually capable of reading, you’d notice I didn’t call *you *the alt-right, just that you are no better than them.

I’m not sure whether I find it more hilarious or terrifying that in this thread, and the various anti-free speech threads, that the ultra-lefties on here are finally showing their true colours, and look just the same as the far right nutters. I just hope you both burn out soon and some vaguely centrist views come to the fore.

My god, you are a fucking idiot.

Another stunningly well thought out rebuttal.

It has nothing with being alt-left. It is a serious disconnect with cops and the community. Why does all the impetus for change need to be from the citizens paying for the service? If the cops want better treatment, then they need to treat the community better.

It has nothing with being alt-right. It is a serious disconnect with blacks and the community. Why does all the impetus for change need to be from the citizens paying for their welfare? If the blacks want better treatment, then they need to treat the community better.

Exactly the fucking same, you fascist.

Great way to throw out a racist statement. I also love that you are going full blown on the personal attack. Real mature. Stay classy.

Ah, so when I do it it’s racist, but when you do it it’s common sense. Bullshit, bigotry is bigotry.

And given some of the personal attacks I’ve had, including from you, in various threads simply because I’m not ridiculously biased against the police, I think I’ll cope with your disapproval. Fuck it, I shall bask in it. Being disapproved of by bigots and hypocrites suggests I’m doing something right.

Time for a radical centrist uprising!

I just wanted to maintain the level of analysis that you’ve been engaged in today.

What does “paying for their welfare” have to do with treatment by law enforcement? You’re really showing your true colors now. Centrist? Ha! More like reactionary fucking douchebag.

It’s exactly as relevant as the idea that paying a cop’s wages means you own them. It’s bullshit either way. If you can’t see the pretty much exact similarity between the position people here have towards the police and the position racists have towards minorities, then you are blinded by your own bias.

Also, I doubt you’re stupid enough to confuse my use of a rhetorical device with me stating my actual position, but just to make it clear, my post a few posts ago was the former.

The paying of salary isn’t to hold power over an individual cop. It is a complaint if a lack of service from a department and system as a whole. I wouldn’t expect or try getting out of a ticket by saying “I pay your salary” or “you work for me”. I do expect as a tax payer to not have incompetent, dishonest, hot-headed cops threatening society.

I expect as a taxpayer not to have these welfare queens driving around in fancy cars with their iPhones :smack:

What you describe is no more true for the vast majority of the police than what I just described is true for the cast majority of people on welfare. Ditch your hypocritical bigotry.

You really can’t ditch it, can you? Your worldview would crumble if you had to accept that almost all coos are normal people, who happen to hace chosen to work to protect you. You need your bogeyman, just like the fascists do.

Nice straw man, asshole.

Then by your logic nothing should ever be reformed or improved. Cops will kill people and keep their job. Great society to me.
