DFTT
That when you talk about it you are full of shit?
People, do you not realize you are being trolled by Smapti? Seriously? never feed a troll, it just gets bigger and will never leave. or stop posting.
So failure to cooperate should be a capital crime.
O-kay, then.
Already clarified, but thanks for playing.
I can only go by the article. For now I’ll assume the prosecutors’ understanding is better than yours (with the understanding that we won’t know for sure until a trial), and I’ll take a position that Smapti continually talks out his ass, makes things up, and posts irrationally and unreasonable with no capability for objectivity regarding law enforcement.
Former Philadelphia narcotics cop admits to planting evidence for up to 15 years.
If I was a prosecutor in Philly, I’d be pissed right now. More than 160 convictions have been overturned.
Oh yeah, it’s the prosecutor who should be mad. Not the 160 victims of wrongful, illegal arrests and convictions against innocent people. Or the taxpayers who were paying “cops”, who were actually criminals breaking the law and violating everything American.
Ugh. Of course, I feel for all those who were imprisoned, and that these scumbags were able to get away with it for so long.
But, I was just relating to the profession, and how upsetting it would be to see all of your convictions (even those that were “correct”) overturned because of some pieces of shit who now call your work into question.
But, feel free to think that just because I didn’t specifically name all wronged parties, I don’t have sympathy for them. I just assumed it was a given, since I’m, well… human.
I wonder how many innocent young people took a plea bargain to avoid jail time, and paid hefty fines? And now have a record.
And some people still actually wonder why cops are mistrusted, and even hated, in principle.
Not really a safe assumption. Smapti’s a human, after all, and look at him.
Does anyone actually believe he is human? Could be an annoying goddamn troll bot for all the warmth and humanity it’s fucking troll posts generate.
Fair enough. I just figured that (while I’m far from a prolific poster), I’ve said enough where a “profile” could be somewhat established of me, or at the very least, if I held “extreme” views, they’d be noticed by now.
No, he’s not: Cannabis induces a clinical response in patients with Crohn’s disease: a prospective placebo-controlled study.. Secondary sources available via your favorite search engine.
Smapti: your factual track record in the pit isn’t very good, as far as I can tell. We’re here to fight ignorance, not enable it.
Well, some of us are here to fight the good fight.
Some are just desperate for attention.
You are being intentionally obtuse.
I agree that the system is being taken advantage of, but marijuana has quite a few known, legitimate medical uses
Here is link from the lefty rag, Business Insider: Health Effects of Medical Marijuana - Business Insider
It is being used to treat
Alzheimer’s disease (slows the progression)
Glaucoma (lowers intraocular pressure)
Cancer (slows the spreading)
Epilepsy (prevents epileptic seizures)
Arthritis (alleviates pain, reduces inflammation, and promotes sleep)
Lupus (calming effect on the immune system)
Parkinson’s Disease (significantly reduces pain and tremors and improves sleep)
Dravet Syndrome (severe seizure disorder), one user, a child, went from 300 seizures a week to just one every seven days.
And of course, it is well known that marijuana fights nausea and promotes appetite during chemotherapy.
And no, ***I ***do not use it for any reason.
I had a housemate back in 1970 who would proclaim he had the marijuana munchies or the hash hungries. Hash, like marijuana, has THC as an active ingredient.
I couldn’t say this of my own knowledge, but I’ve heard and read about the phenomenon for years.
My position is that if marijuana truly has medical value, then it should be regulated like any other prescription drug and not allowed for recreational use.
I say it should be sold in most stores, next to the aspirin and ibuprofen. But not in the same aisle as the booze.
There are differing opinions on that.
