Cool breeze while sleeping = stiff neck in the morning?

I did a couple of searches on this, but as I’ve seen in the past, my searches aren’t that good.

So I woke up one morning with a stiff, sore neck. I told my wife that it was because of the breeze from the ceiling fan while I slept. She said that was an old wives tale.

So tell me. Can you get a stiff neck in the morning if there is a cool breeze on your neck at night?

I agree with your wife.
I sleep in a bedroom with a window A/C in it. The unit blows cold air directly on me all night and I have never got up in the morning with a stiff neck, or anything else, for that matter.
