I just figured it would be hard to walk without dropping it.
Oh, and it’s not like I actually saw the fake thumb. But I did, on the second viewing, notice that she pulled the scarf out differently than she had been, using the same hand rather than putting one hand in something and pulling it out with the other hand.
And, yeah, it was the jazz hands that made me suspect the fake thumb. Early on, there isn’t much to look at, and the jazz hands got annoying even on the first time through.
