That BV 141 must have been a bitch to land.
Now, in my humble opinion, the coolest plane is the Murphy Rebel.
Simply, because it’s the plane I want to one day build. It was co-designed by one of the designers of the DeHav Beaver, Dick Hiscock, which just ups the “cool” factor by at least 11.
Its bigger, younger brother, the Murphy Moose, is another kick-ass plane. It has a useful load of at least as much as its empty weight.
I’d just love to have one of these planes, to go to middle-of-nowhere lakes and catch some monster pike…
