I loved The Stand! I am a sci-fi fan but never got into Stargate, and if I’ve seen Parker Lewis I don’t remember it.
Parker’s father was played by TV’s Tim Stack, who later starred in “Son of the Beach,” and was a head writer and did the occasional cameo on “My Name is Earl.”
And Kubiak (Abraham Benrubi) does Darth Vader in Robot Chicken’s “Star Wars” skits.
Jonas Quinn. I love Stargate. I saw The Stand about 15 years ago and can’t picture any of the actors. I don’t think I’ve seen Parker Lewis.
Not even Gary Sinise as Stuart Redman? ![]()
Parker Lewis. I don’t remember watching anything else that he’s appeared in since PLCL.
He’s equally Harold Lauder and Jonas Quinn to me.
He is Parker Lewis to me. Parker happened to act in SG-1 and The Stand.
The first thing I thought when I read the title was “You mean Parker Lewis?”
He’ll always be Parker Lewis. Because Parker Lewis can’t lose.
Heck, ER was on for fifteen years, and I still think of Jerry the desk clerk as “Koob.”
I don’t know what “Parker Lewis” is, so every time I hear his name I think “That was that nerdy guy with the bomb from The Stand.”
To me he’s the guy slumming with David Faustino in the Star-ving shorts on Cracked and Youtube including the one below:
True, but Ferris Bueller’s sister was Jennifer Aniston, so I think they kinda win that one (sorry Koob).
Like Anthony Edwards, one of the main characters during the most successful years of ER, also a co-star in Top Gun, will still always be Gilbert Lowe from Revenge of the Nerds. Some roles you just never escape.
He was also in the first season of Memphis Beat (don’t recall seeing him in the second season). He’s always a Parker Lewis guy to me, though seeing him looking old-ish makes me feel old-ish.
“Someone I’ve never heard of” was my answer.
I voted “other” because I have absolutely no idea who he is.

The name vaguely rings a bell, when I saw his face I thought, 'I’ve seen him in a few SyFy Channel movies, but I’m damned if I can remember which."
Casual sci-fi guy here and I think “Parker Lewis”. In fact, as soon as I saw the thread title I thought that.
It’s funny how your mind stores stuff as a kid and you recall it as an adult. I loved PL(CL) as a kid, as well as Married with Children. To this day, when I try to think of the name of the actor who played Olaf on Buffy (or any of his other more recent roles), I think “Larry Kubiak”. I remember his TV name from one TV show better than his real name. (similarly, when talking about MwC one time, I said, “Yeah, but how did they explain making Marcy a lesbian when Steve left, then back to straight when Jefferson came along?” I was told, “That never happened.” “Yeah, I remember that.” Turns out I was conflating Bearse’s real life, her dual role as Marcy’s cousin, and Marcy all into a non-existent plto device on the show.)
