Corrine Wood is the Lieutenant (sp?) Governor of Illinois. Patrick O’Malley is a state senator of Illinois from Palos Park. Both are Republicans. Both ran against one another (and attorney general Jim Ryan) in the Republican primary a few months ago. I voted for O’Malley. Ryan won. BFD.
Corrine Wood has had a stick up her butt about the Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue for quite a while; a few threads appeared on these boards the last time this subject came up. It has come up again with the arrival of the most recent A&F catalogue, and once again Ms. Wood is in the headlines.
Now, Patrick O’Malley is joining Corrine Wood in her crusade against the A&F catalogue.
As a republican and former O’Malley supporter, I am at a loss for words. If you object to the A&F catalogue, don’t buy A&F products. It’s free-market economics at its purest form, and republicans, of all people, should be the first to get it. To make a quixotic political issue out of it is to merely call attention to it and give A&F free advertising.
