Well, mine turned into pleurisy. Mucinex let me down. I wondered why my lower back hurt, but figured it was old people aches. Nope, lungs. Still supposed to do the Mucinex, but now I have steroids, an inhaler and benzo for coughs.
I am absolutely dumbfounded that doctors can pinpoint what you have by different sounds they hear in different areas of your torso. Does pleurisy have a distinct timber? Does pneumonia have a different “wheeze” than mere bronchitis? What makes pneumonia “walking”? How do you tell a viral infection from a bacterial one by sound? Or, is it just by sound?
I think the good doctors have psychic abilities. They shine on.
