Could any city capture the MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL championships at one time?

Detroit really is close. Wings are the best. Tigers may be back on track. The Pistons are very good.
The Lions are only 10 or 12 wins from being contenders.

unfortunately for the Lions, they have to get them all in the same season.

You said it out loud! Don’t do that!

The five boroughs of New York are all part of one city, and, AIUI, the locals do, in fact, consider their sports teams quite distinct.

Los Angeles County and Orange County are two very, very different places. Most people in San Diego and L.A. objected to the Angels taking on the L.A. tag when it happened. It just doesn’t make sense, culturally speaking.

The Patriots, by the way, certainly do play in New England, which I suspect is why they’re called the New England Patriots rather than the Boston Patriots.
