Nonsuch and cornflakes --thank you.
That show sounds like both a nightmare and incredibly awesome, depending on your role–attendee or roadie!
Maybe it was Steely Dan. Ah well, one of the nice things about middle age–you don’t miss all the brain cells you wasted in youth.
And I thought that with the Wall, PF was a “sell-out” ie “gone commercial”. Or was that Led Zeppelin with In Thru The Out Door…?
I’ll be over here in the corner, muttering to myself.
Carry on.

There was always something on every album that the Floyd made that sounded great to me, especially the instrumentals…I love the whole track of “Echoes”, “Careful With That Axe, Eugene”, the instrumental parts to “Shine On You Crazy Diamond”, “Dogs”, etc. And then the albums as a whole, DSOTM, Wish You Where Here, and The Wall. And then there are songs that pretty much “perfect” in sound, lyrics, and movement…“Time”, “Wish You Were Here”, etc.
The Wall was a whole album where I can play from beginning and end and VISUALIZE scenes in my head when it was playing (like a movie)…even before the movie came out. Kind of freaky when I found out that they were making a movie (a marginal one at best) when I was already dreaming this stuff up.
