Could marks be put in to show where links have been removed by mods?

In this thread, an “advertising link” was removed from post #2. This was done by completely removing the offending link in question, thus making the post make little sense since there were words missing. I had to read that post several times (“The search function at works well”) before I realized that it had been edited and the missing words must have named some other message board.

I suppose I can see why you wouldn’t want to leave the original words intact, but would you consider putting something like [Link deleted] in when you decide to alter our posts like that? That way, the poster’s sentence at least makes a little bit of sense to people who come upon the thread later.

Actually, that’s what typically happens (you usually see it in NSFW links being removed), but I’ve been in a hurry today and didn’t get around to it. I’ll go back later tonight when I get a moment and edit in a placeholder statement so that it all reads better.
