Could the Netherlands pull off A Falklands?

How important are satellites in naval warfare these days? It seems very possible that, even if the US provided no other aid, we’d be willing to share our satellite-based intel with the Netherlands. Would that be of any particular importance?

Also - how well-trained are Venezualan pilots? As I understand it, one traditional problem developing countries have is that they invest in fairly decent aircraft, but not the (substantial) time and expenses required to train up pilots.

Look, we’re all dancing around the important question here: If Russia were to attack Turkey from the rear, would Greece help?

Wait, isn’t IKEA Swedish?

I’m not sure the USA stays out of this one. Monroe Doctrine (still effectively in force) says this is our pond and everything in it is our business. Venezuela (already proclaiming itself hostile to us) invading and seizing the territory of another nation isn’t going to go unanswered.

So hey, Netherlands, you want we should temporarily loan you a carrier task force and an air wing or two?

Oh wait, this is us - the US. We’ll take over the show and tell you how and when you’re going to land your forces. Trust us.

That would sound likely.
Afterwards, after Holland has payed for the invasion costs, the Islands declare their total independance from the Netherlands and dependance on the US.

Venezuela is forced to de-nationalise it’s oil and sell off to a ‘select group’ of bidders.
