That’s odd–I’m pretty sure Canada Post can handle international mail! Probably a cost thing, but still, a little odd. I can make international labels and pay the postage at my computer and print off the paid shipping label and affix it to a parcel.
@Kropotkin - currently they’re not shipping parcels to a number of EU countries, including where I live now, because of a small new import tax that they apparently don’t know how to handle (!!!)
That’s odd. Every time I’ve ordered things from another country, I’ve been the one to foot any import tax. Usually when it arrives; when I order it, the shipper is quite clear that any taxes and fees incurred by shipping are my responsibility upon arrival.
An idea: maybe there’s a Doper in Toronto who could get what you want from Say Tea, and ship it him- or herself. You would, of course, pay the Doper back for purchase and shipping via Canada Post (or whatever, maybe it would be better by FedEx or UPS), and you could look after any import duties when the tea arrives at your location.
