[Naw, you’re doing fine, @Pardel-Lux ]
You sure are looking good!
[Aside: Phil Vassar is a little bit of an anomaly in American country music. For starters, he’s a pianist, and many of his songs are arranged for piano primarily, though there are backing musicians. It’s the piano in “Carlene” that attracted me to it, as I play piano also. The video is a hoot–he’s playing a piano on a rooftop, while Carlene adorns billboards and buses. Others of his that are worth checking out include “Don’t Miss Your Life,” where he laments that touring takes so much time away from being with family; and “This is God,” which is memorable and haunting. It begins with him playing piano on a Nashville street, and encountering a lot of people, and I cannot really describe it from there. But it is definitely memorable.]

I said I hope to see you again someday
[I had never hear him or of him, perhaps he is not that known across the Atlantic. But Carlene does look gorgeous indeed in that video, though to be frank: she already did when she wore the glasses, and they were not so thick rimmed as the song suggests. But that might be me: I always had a weakness for red haired women.
Will check the other songs you mentioned]

[Whoops! You jumped ahead a bit. Here’s the next line:]
She said, “Hop in, let’s go for a spin,”
[Okay, I’ll admit it, I’ve got a soft spot for redheaded girls in glasses. I had at least two girlfriends like that in high school.]
5457 = 3 x 17 x 107
Tell me whatcha been doing boy and where you been
[Oooops, missed a whole strpphe]
