No, it certainly doesn’t offend me. However, I already sent him an email asking the same question (since I know he’s not in 'til the afternoon). And considering I’ve talked to the guy several times on the phone already, and was able to schmooze the cost of the room down from $175 to $100, it’s probably best to have me as the main contact here.

I can’t believe it’s not Friday yet. But I realized as I lay groggily in bed this a.m. that since Chicago is a different time zone that I’ll gain an hour on the way there (ok, I lose one on the way back plus the one we lose due to the time change) so I should be there an hour earlier than I’d originally planned without changing my schedule at all. And since I’ll start to get antsy to leave right after lunch on Friday I may even sneak out early. It helps that my boss appears to be on vacation this week.
