Just a note that I’ll be starting a new thread with all the details known to date in the OP. Looks like we lost the the original thread here, though, so no real idea who is actually planning on coming at this point, except for those who checked in on the thread at the temp board.
I’m still planning on attending. Especially since I found out that a) Euty’s gonna be there, and b) my kids are on spring break the week before ChiDope.

No, I shan’t be attending, about which I could not be more discontented.
I’m still up in the air as to whether I will be able to attend. See, when I made plans to attend ChiDope, I had forgotten that not only was my rent due that same week, but my daughter’s birthday is also that same week. I’m hoping and praying that my tax refund shows up before then because if it doesn’t, then I won’t have the money to attend. I guess you can still keep me on the list as a maybe.

I know some of the people listed here have already said they will not be attending, I will give those rooms to the people who have e-mailed me in the past week in the order that I have received the e-mails.
I will also see if I can get two or three more rooms. It looks like that should accomodate everyone.
Also, if you need a room and see someone on the list above that you’d like to room with, e-mail them. Most of the e-mails I got indicated people were willing to share.(We’re a very giving bunch, aren’t we?)
Finally, If you decide or determine that you cannot attend, and you have reserved a room thru me, please drop me an e-mail so I can cancel reservations or reassign them. It really makes these requests much easier in the future if the hotel knows that we are not leaving them with rooms that at the last minute don’t materialize.

I plan on attending. I know Dave and Ginger are flying from somewhere, and Geobabe is doing her own thing getting there, and RTFirefly wanted to reserve a spot in what was at one point Hamadryad’s minivan going up to Chitown.
With Hammy bowing out and RT not making much of an appearance at the temp board…does anyone else in the VA/MD area want to carpool up? And on a related note, Quix and Jess, I heard talk that y’all wanted to carpool from Columbus. Any truth to that rumor or should I make potential plans to do the whole thing meself?
Now I just have to figger out if I wanna spring for half a hotel room or if I want to grovel for floorspace.

I’d link the old thread here, but it’s all but useless now. Every posted/edited, including the date, is gone. It’d be more confusing than helpful I believe.
As I mentioned on our temporary home, I’ll be coming to ChiDope. Yay!
Based on my count so far, we’ve got around 50 people attending. That’s based on people who posted to the temp board thread, the info from Jane D’oh!, and my vague recollection of who else would be attending.
I just left a message at Timothy O’Toole’s to confirm our room for Saturday - I’m going to tell them we’ll be there at 8 - those that show up sooner can eat and drink with their boring… errr… normal clientele. I expect a call back later today from them. I’ll probably start the new thread tomorrow, and put a link to it here.
We still need to decide our drunken debauchery site for Friday, however. To some degree this depends on how many people are going to be around Saturday - if it’s a smaller group, we have more flexibility on where to go. Also, on Saturday afternoon, there will probably be several things going on in parallel - visits to museums were discussed in the temp board thread. Also, there was the proposed visit to The Pleasure Chest…

Well, barring some miracle of fate, it appears that I will NOT be attending. Finances are in too short a supply right this second. I MIGHT be able to if I can carpool with iampunha or someone. But I’m not 100% sure right now. If I do make it, I’ll be looking for a spot of floor or someplace to crash. I’m not taking the hotel room.
