Anyone happen to know if/when the Wild Goose (where dopers will observe fellow dopers making fools of themselves attempting the Mythical 10) cards? I imagine it’s incredibly scenic and such from the outside, but I’d rather not be limited to that.

I checked the Doubletree site and they say they’ve got an indoor pool. In case anyone wants to go for a swim.
Yahoo maps tells me it’s 313 miles door-to-door. And 7 hours. I don’t trust them, I’m sure I can do it in under 6 hours, hopefully 5, possibly 4.5. I plan to be in for dinner. Any recos for dinner nearby. Something Chicagoesque would be nice.
And Hamadryad’s post was funnier than anything in the “funny post contest”. Which just goes to show the best comedy is spontaneous and often unplanned.
Wild Goose, bless their souls, does not card. I can attest to that myself, as we had our most recent mini-ChiDope there.

You can come whenever you want, but I’ve made reservations for 5:30, since it’s all you can eat Fish fry night and it gets fairly crowded. Some of us will be eating dinner there.

Turbo Dog isn’t going to make it either, though I’m tagging along with Crunchy Frog and am going to have to make it a budget trip for myself. We should get there late Friday night. Time to do some laundry.
I don’t think I’m gonna be able to make it. I’ve got what seems like a real nasty bronchial infection and I’ve been coughing my lungs out the last couple of days. I’ll be there if I can, but at this point I doubt it.
