"Coupling" Sex,Lesbians and Video Tape

I was watching my digital tv last night and I saw a marathon of “Coupling” on BBC America. I couldn’t remember having seen it, so, always on the lookout for new Britcoms, I tuned it in.
The first episode was titled “INFERNO” and I lucked out because it was the funniest tv I’ve seen for a long time. “Coupling” is what “Friends” would like to be if it had good sexy plots, really good actors and great writing. Basically three guys, three girls: all with sex on their minds all the time.

“INFERNO” was about a guy who gets caught with a video tape of lesbians, uh, acting out and then having a spanking session. His GF isn’t much amused.Somehow this leads to a dinner party with the six of them, plus the psychiatrist of one of the bi-sexual girls whom the needy nut has badgered into exhaustion until the psych said yes.
At the dinner, peoples proclivities are confused, everyone is pissed at everyone else, and the shrink is driven over the edge and calls her patient an “INSANE BITCH”.
I was alone and near to tears from laughing.
Anyone else seen this show and what do you think? Aw, hell, let’s include the Brits in this too, since it’s their show. BTW Brits,(or anyone, I guess) is this still running on the island?

Yes, Yes, YES!!!

Coupling is one of the funniest and most cleverly written pieces of British TV comedy ever.

My favourite episode was (I think) called ‘breasts’, I won’t spoil it for you, but my ribs were aching for an hour after watching it.

The series was repeated a short while ago, I’m hoping that this was to fire up interest in a new series (but I’ve heard nothing to confirm that there is one in production)

Jack Davenport is a great choice of actor for his role.

I really enjoyed it too, but in typical fashion they´ve allowed all the actors to move on. (it´s several years since the original was made).

So I don´t know if there will ever be another…
