According to the manufacturers, this should not be a problem:
Thanks! The brand we got is distributed by Roche pharma and not mentioned in that article but I’m going to hope they answer is the same across the board - it’s ok.
Here’s a link from the side of the box for anyone who’s curious:
Interesting bit of information on the process. Video shows mail carrier spraying down packages.
Post office appears to be catching up. Just received an email in reply to my previous problem with multiple rental properties with the same mailing address.
We have resolved the issue you experienced when ordering your free At-Home COVID-19 Tests and completed your order. A confirmation email containing your order number was sent from no-reply@email-special.usps.com to the email address you provided within your online inquiry.
When your order is shipped, you will receive an email from auto-reply@usps.com with an estimated delivery date and tracking number. You can track the status of your delivery on USPS.com.
I know it’s a big lift they are doing, but we haven’t received anything yet after we signed up in the first hours.
Same here. I signed up the first day it was available. Haven’t gotten anything yet.
Meanwhile the grocery stores here seem to have plenty of test kits in stock right now (limit 2 per customer), so I went ahead and bought some.
There seems to be no pattern I can figure out as to how the tests are being mailed out. We haven’t got ours yet, but I’ve heard from lots of people that they have. Some live in our metro area.
I placed an order on January 18, the day this thread started and a day before the official start date and supposedly will receive the test kits in the mail today.
did you get a notice it was out for delivery in your email?
White house says 7-12 days but I’m on day 19. I expected an instant pileup when it was announced. I was hoping for a guess as to how it was going.
Nothing yet. Signed up the first day.
Sorry for not updating, I ordered mine then posted here. I’ve had mine for over a week.
I"m really amazed that the Post Office has managed to do a semi-acceptable job with this huge project.
Signed up the first day, and got a confirmation email almost right away. Nothing since.
I did. The first sent around 1 AM said three days out. Then another one around 6:30 AM saying they were being delivered that day
. Ordered 1/18, received 2/2.
I also ordered on the Jan 18. Nothing yet on Feb 10th.
Ordered my tests the day the website went live, got them yesterday in the mail. Also yesterday, my wife order 5 tests from the state of Washington, those were delivered about 6 hours later by Amazon.
Thanks for the update. Might as well tweak this thread with order/delivery updates.
15 days after ordering for you. That looks like the earlier end of the scale so far. Something to work with. It’s probably going to be regional based on origin and weather. Last week was a delivery hell week for all carriers.
Also, it seems like people are getting their only email update on the day of delivery. I’ve tried to check my email every day so it’s not sitting out in the cold any longer than necessary.
I received two two-pack of tests made by a company called iHealth. Googling, each two-pack is at Walmart for $17.98, so I received about $36 in tests.
Plot Twist: North Korea.
Finally got mine today. I signed up the first or second day they were available.
I’ll believe that when I see satellite views of the golden arches in NK at night.
And on a side note, I’m not sticking anything made in N Korea up my nose.
