I ordered mine shortly after the announcement, and still haven’t gotten them. Never got a notice they were being sent, but I might have opted out from getting one.
I ordered 1/18 and haven’t even gotten a “it’s shipped” email yet.
Got an email from USPS today and my kits should be delivered Tuesday morning.
I signed up a bit later than most. I got an email notification yesterday that a package would arrive in a week (so Feb. 18), and when I read it, it was referring to the COVID-19 tests.
It looked like the standard email you get if you track a package in USPS.com. (No, I don’t know why it’s not USPS.gov.)
Ours arrived a couple of days ago. My dad ordered them for us on Day 1 (with our full knowledge and consent - we couldn’t get through on the website, and we have jobs and he’s retired with all the time in the world).
Got my delivery today and I was a little underwhelmed to find it was just two boxes of iHealth brand 2-pack test kits - the same kind we’ve been selling at my work for about a month now.
My work sells them for $19.88 per 2-pack. I certainly hope the fed got a better deal than that.
I already have a box of two rapid tests that I ordered before they announced we could get them for free. Just ordered my free tests anyway. I don’t have a delivery date yet. I get PCR tested weekly at work.
Same here. I ordered them the first day they became available, IIRC, a day before the “official” date. They took longer than I thought.
^^yup. I ordered the a.m. they were available.
No shipping notice, but informed deivery shows a package from US DEPT HHS - LAS VEGAS NV in transit, which I don’t think could be anything else.
That was how mine was labeled in ID.
Ordered on the very first day, just received them today.
Orderd the first day, received yesterday.
Received mine today.
I got a rock. I mean…nothing yet, not even a notice.
I got my email notice 30 minutes after posting this. ![]()
Ordered mine on Feb. 2.
Just got the delivery notice yesterday (Feb. 16)
Says will be delivered by Feb. 22.
Actually got them the 14th, but forgot to mention it until now. That’s a more usual shipping time for me for stuff I’ve tracked with the USPS.
Also, it’s apparently this kit, which I’d bought earlier:
Got mine in the mail today (Feb. 18). Yay Louis DeJoy!
Now I wonder when I should use them.
The instructions say, if I have no symptoms, then I should test twice, at least 1 day and at most 2 days apart. But it also seems to say I only need to do so if there is some reason to suspect I might be exposed or otherwise positive.
So I suppose I’ll just hang onto these to use them sometime when I see some need. But I’m kind of itching to try one test just to see how it works, and what my C and T lines really look like.
