Its just odd. First I’ve never heard of such a position. It claims to be at Mayo Clinic, but has a hotmail account. Get paid to sleep at least 8 hours a shift, with paid breaks and paid lunch (you eat while you sleep???)
It obviously is not anything what it seems, but I can’t figure out what the poster is really trying to obtain. Contacting them specifically asking…'whats the deal" went unanswered.
SO…anyone have a clue what this is all about? What does the person intend on accomplishing? what really is the job they are advertising?
I think it’s a joke. For one thing the ad uses a Hotmail address. And the list of benefits is ridiculous. (One hundred percent 401(k) match?)
*$30 per hour with chance of performance bonus. (Reviewed monthly)
*Complete medical package
*401K with 100% match.
*2 paid breaks, and 1 paid lunch per shift.
Not looking for a job with Craigslist so no worries there.
I thought it was a joke too, but I don’t get it. Plainly, I’m intrigued by the thought process of what this item is really supposed to accomplish.
I’m confident its fake, but trying to parse the actual reasoning behind it; and thought there was something obvious I was missing.
One possibility I suspect is that this is a revenge thing or a joke played on poor Curt (Or Joe, or whoever). Imagine the annoying emails and phone calls asking for Joe all the time
